Day 10

We came home today to find the walls are higher and the bathroom floor had been concreted! with a plastic roof over it!

Our Girl

Bethany is a little girl with complex needs. Her diagnosis is:

1q4 Deletion (1q43,1q44) rare chromosome disorder
Epilepsy
Hydrocephalus - requiring a shunt
Microcephaly
Cortical Visual problems and optic atrophy
Gastrostomy (fed thru her tummy)
Global development delay
Abnormality of tone and posture
Moderate hearing loss

Bethany cannot sit unaided, walk , talk or even crawl she is totally dependent on adults 24/7. She is generally a very happy girl. She just started special needs school in sept full time which she loves.She is very beautiful girl with an infectious laugh. Strangers often come up to her to tell her and us how beautiful she is :)
